NYSC Sets To Reopen Orientation Camp; See Guidelines
Since the 2020 Batch A orientation camp abruptly in March due to the global contagion; coronavirus outbreak in the country, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has now set to reopen orientation camp across the nation and has issued guidelines to be implemented at the camps for smooth conduct.
According to circular signed on behalf of the NYSC Director-General, the strategies have been reviewed by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
It will be recalled that the vice President, Yemi Osinbajo-led Economic Sustainability Committee (ESC) has called on the federal government last week to consider suspending the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp exercises for two years. However, it is still not clear if FG will take this suggestion of the Economic Sustainability Committee’s recommendation.
