Wizkid, Femi Kuti, and Made Kuti were all eliminated from the 64th Grammy Awards, which were held at the MGM Arena in Las Vegas.

Wizkid, Femi Kuti, and Made Kuti all lost in the two categories of Best Global Music Performance and Best Global Music Album at a televised ceremony.

While the Nigerian music singers lost in the Best Global Music Performance category to Arooj Aftab for her track "Mohabbat," Angelique Kidjo won the Best Global Music Album category.

Kidjo expressed her gratitude to young Africans who have continued to work with her to showcase the continent to the rest of the globe during her victory speech.

Wizkid won his first Grammy in 2021 for a feature on Beyonce's song "Brown Skin Girl," and Burna Boy won Best Global Music Album after missing out in 2020.
