Davido is ecstatic that his best friend, Cubana Chief Priest, has been released from the EFCC's captivity.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) apprehended Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana, at the Abuja Airport on March 30th. He was detained on suspicion of tax fraud and money laundering.

Obi Cubana was brought in for questioning on tax fraud and money laundering charges less than six months ago. The EFCC did not reveal the outcome of their inquiry, but Cubana Chief Priest was held in detention on his birthday.

Nigerians were quick to express their displeasure with his detention, especially because his buddies Davido, Obi Cubana, Zlatan, Skiibii, and others remained silent.

However, Davido took to Instagram this evening to tell that his bestie, Cubana Chief Priest, is free. He didn't say whether he was guilty or not, but he did affirm that the Cubana Chief Priest was no longer in EFCC custody.
