Ms Tolani, a young woman, has taken to social media to call out Alexander Dapo, a rising gospel artist, for allegedly stalking her after a professional music video collaboration.

In a series of posts shared on Twitter, Tolani recounted her ordeal, claiming that Alexander had been persistently pressuring her into marriage and making unsettling gestures following their brief interaction during the project.

Tolani explained that Alexander contacted her on September 1, 2024, to feature in his Christian-themed music video. While she agreed to the terms of the project, she noted that Alexander initially insisted on a kissing scene, which made her uncomfortable. After negotiations, she convinced him to simulate the kiss instead.

The shoot took place at the University of Lagos (Unilag) waterfront, where Tolani was accompanied by her sister. According to her, Alexander mentioned how special the video was and expressed a fantasy about a wedding scene similar to the one they had filmed.

Tolani stated that after the video shoot, Alexander began sending her unsolicited messages, declaring her as his "dream wife" and making proposals for marriage. Despite her clear rejection, Alexander allegedly continued to contact her, even emailing her in the early hours of the morning.

Screenshots shared by Tolani included messages from Alexander offering to meet up and promising to pay her, which she found offensive and demeaning.

“I didn’t block him at first because I’m used to men sexualizing me, but after his repeated advances, I had to block him,” she wrote. However, she alleged that Alexander bypassed the block by reaching out via email, accusing her of immaturity and urging her to respond.

Frustrated and scared, Tolani concluded her thread with a direct message to Alexander, saying, “You are mentally ill, leave me alone!” She called on netizens for support, hoping the attention would deter him from continuing his behaviour.

The allegations have sparked widespread discussions online, with many condemning Alexander’s alleged behaviour and calling for greater accountability. Others have urged Tolani to report the situation to the authorities for her safety.
