After the success of his smash-hit single with Selena Gomez, "Calm Down," popular Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, aka Rema, says he wants to work with more American superstar stars.



In a side interview with the Hollywood Reporter at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards in New Jersey on Tuesday, the Benin-born singer specifically said he wants to work with female celebrities more.

He mentioned rappers Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion as some of those he is looking forward to working with soon.

He said, “I’m hoping to meet Meg [Thee Stallion] and Nicki [Minaj] for possible collaborations. Who else? Yeah, I wanna link up with girls, dem.”

The Daily Post reported that Rema beat Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and others to become the first-ever winner of the newly created “Best Afrobeats Song” during the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, USA, on Tuesday.
