Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage name Tems, is a well-known musician in Nigeria.

Tems has slammed critics who think Temilade is leading a bad life.

Some of the singer's followers had earlier urged her to start writing quality songs and leading a godly life that would be admirable.

But she declared on Tuesday night via her Twitter account that she was not in the music business to support any ideologies.

She wrote, “I don’t know who needs to hear this, but I am not your Christian savior." I didn’t come here to uphold your beliefs about God.
“I will not fit into this box you try to put me in." I won’t satisfy you in that area; please find someone who will. Or ask yourself why you care.
