Veteran actress Patience Ozokwor has said that her children made significant sacrifices for her career.

She made this known in an appreciation note on Instagram.

Recall that the actress had won the Industry Merit Award at Saturday’s Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award.

According to Mama G, as she is popularly known, she relied on her talent, humility, word of mouth, and trust because there was no social media when she began her acting career.

She wrote, “LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD “When we started in the industry, there was no social media or the many other luxuries we enjoy now. Progress was completely dependent on your talent, humility, word of mouth, and trust.
“I appreciate my colleagues who work tirelessly and often without recognition.
“I appreciate my family, who have always surrounded me with love and acceptance. My children sacrificed a lot and went long periods without a mother.

She added that at some point, her daughter became her PA and associate manager.
