The Nigerian singer, Tems, has made a historic entry into the United States Billboard Hot 100 this week.


Her 2020 hit song, “Free My Mind,” debuted at No. 90 on the latest Hot 100 chart. The Billboard Hot 100 includes the top 100 most streamed songs of all genres in the U.S. Methods of streaming include official audio, video, radio airplay, and sales data.

Tems’ entry on the chart is a Historic one as she becomes the first Nigerian female artist to have a solo/single on the chart. With this achievement, Tems ties Wizkid as the Nigerian artist with the most charted songs in Hot 100 history (4 each).
