Following the recent fire incidents in the markets and residential buildings in the Onitsha metropolis of Anambra state which was believed to have been caused by heavy tankers carrying petrol that lost balance on the roads, the executive governor of Anambra state Willie Obiano has taken a measure step towards stopping such incident from occurring by restricting the movement of tankers carrying petrol from Anambra roads in the day time.

This was made known to the anambrarians through the governors special assistant on social media Mr Ifeanyi Aniagoh. He stated that heavy tankers carrying petrol are now allowed to only move about in the state from 8pm to 9am effective from November 2.
