Following the harassment of those that are criticizing the President for incompetency and how the state security service is arresting then, the spokesman to the President, Mr Femi Adeshina said that his not a crime.

It will be recalled that Buhari had asked the former president to resign in 2013 and nothing was said about that then but now he is arresting those that say the same thing about him.

When asked on if President Buhari should toe the same path, Adesina who was a guest on Channels Television programme ‘Politics Today’ said those demanding the president’s resignation are exercising their freedom of speech. He however added that such freedom of speech has its boundary.

“Under a democracy, people have freedom of speech. That is one thing that is peculiar to democracy. You have freedom of speech although that freedom also has boundary”.

“There is no freedom that does not have boundaries. The freedom that does not have boundaries will even injure the person who is utilising that freedom”.

“So, if anybody says that kind of thing under a democracy, it is allowed but when it verges on causing chaos , that person may be asked to come and answer certain questions”.
