Mrs Felicia Ikpeama, The Special Adviser to the Governor on water supply, said - during an inspection of damaged electric poles and cables at Oji River destroyed by a dangote vehicle - that power is the main challenge delaying the supply of water in the state .



She also said that Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has begun the Installation of poles and cables in the area, therefore the residents affected should exercise patience.

She further said that The Enugu State Government had since September begun A N165 million worth of repair on the water facilities, and that the scheme will aim to expand into more areas across the state.
