The outspoken senator, Enyinnaya Abaribe from Abia State has expressed gratitude to God and his people for saving his political career.

He said he is grateful to have survived Peter OBI Tsunami that rocked the whole of South East political space some weeks ago.

It is important to note that opposition party hardly won any post in the southeast as the Labour party clear majority of the elective posts in the region due to the influence of Mr Peter Obi.

Abaribe won the seat with 49,000 votes defeating Mr Chinedu of the Labour Party who scored 43,000 while the incumbent Governor of Abia State, Ikpeazu only get 23,000 votes.
