Lagos Mainland Has Number Of Confirmed Cases As The State Records New 70 Cases
The epicentre of the novel coronavirus case in Nigeria; Lagos State releases a statistics chart to show the some details about the number of confirmed cases in the state.
The chart shows that the local government with the highest number of confirmed cases as 18/04/20 is the Lagos Mainland follows by Ikeja. While only 3 local government have not recorded any cases.
The chart also shows that the gender ratio of the confirmed cases is 70:30 for male and female respectively.
It will be recalled that Lagos state has more than 60% of the total number of cases in the country with close to 400 cases.
The state has been under lockdown for the last 21 days and there is still the possibility of extension with the exponential increase being recorded in the state.
It is to be noted that, the Lagos state government has extended testing centres to 26 in the state.

NCDC records 23 new cases
For the second time today, the total number of coronavirus cases have increased by 23, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) can confirm. The new cases include nine from Lagos, which still remains the epicentre of coronavirus in Nigeria, seven in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, five in Akwa Ibom, one in Kaduna and Bauchi states respectively. Nigeria records 11 new cases of Coronavirus
11 new cases of Coronavirus have been recorded in Nigeria.The Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC, said of the 11 cases, eight were detected in Lagos, two in Enugu and one in Edo state.This brings a total of 81 confirmed cases in Nigeria.
