The suspected who was a dismissed soldier named Lance corporal Nwagwu Chiwendu joined ESN early this year after leaving the barrack.

He was their main trainer in weapon handling and rose to be the 2ic to Temple who is now the leader of the group in Imo State.

He served on OPHK and thus has operational experience. He was arrested on Monday during the burial of his father in Mbaise area of Imo State.

He has taken the police to their camp yesterday night at Obowo.

The suspect also confessed to killing Gulaq ( a former political adviser to the former president, who was assassinated last year) and confirmed that his camp is responsible for kidnapping the 2 expatriates along Owerri-Okigwe Road and the killing of 2 Police Inspectors escorting them.

He affirmed that it is his group that killed soldiers in the same location and the burning of our Hilux last week. He equally participated in the attack on INEC office in Owerri.

The suspect will be charged to the court after a full investigation.
