Professor Hagher believes that the PDP needs to field a credible candidate in order to win the presidential election
Professor Iyorwuese Hagher suggests that for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to realize its goals of winning the next presidential election, the party must reject all types of feeling by fielding a respectable candidate.
Hagher made the remarks over the weekend while in Jalingo, Taraba state, with his team to hold one-on-one meetings with PDP delegates from the state who will be attending the party's next national conversion.
"We are hopeful that PDP is eager of winning next election and would not wobble around and choose whatsoever candidate," he added, urging the party's leadership to put aside all types of sentiments by presenting a viable presidential candidate that will be acceptable to Nigerians.
He urged the party to pick the "best," saying, "The PDP has to put its best foot forward and should not search for a southerner, a northerner, or a central leader," but rather someone who is well educated, intellectual, and dynamic." ”
The team went on to say that Nigerians need "a country where the educational system will operate, where the health system will work," adding that "because the educational system, health system, and agriculture are key avenues of development."
