2024 Olympics Qualifier: Ethiopia set up Super Falcons clash
Ethiopia will meet the Super Falcons of Nigeria in the second round of the qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games.
The Walya Ladies defeated Chad 10-0 on aggregate in the first round.
The Ethiopians won the first leg 6-0 on the road.
They completed the rout by defeating their opponent 4-0 at home.
Senaf Wakuma netted a brace for the hosts, while Loza Abera and Turist Lena scored the other goals.
The encounter between Ethiopia and Nigeria will take place between October 23 and 31, 2023.
Africa will be represented by two countries in the women’s football event at the 2024 Olympic Games, which will be staged in Paris, France.
The Super Falcons have failed to qualify for the last three editions of the Olympics.
