Absolute superstar – Wayne Rooney hails Man City’s new man
Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney, has tipped Manchester City’s striker, Erling Haaland, to become an absolute superstar.
Haaland arrived at Manchester City in a £51m deal from Borussia Dortmund over the summer.
And in a recent interview, Rooney predicted the striker would become an "absolute superstar."
The 22-year-old Norway international has scored 14 goals in 10 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side this season and Rooney feels the former Borussia Dortmund star is unique.
“Watching him play is incredible,” Rooney said, according to Metro.
“He’ll obviously score goals, like he has been doing, but I just think he makes the difference for City."
“I think he’s unique, he’s recognisable, he has presence – on and off the pitch. I think he’s going to be an absolute superstar.”
