Cristiano Ronaldo distracted three Manchester United stars this season – John Barnes
Former Liverpool star John Barnes claims that Manchester United's recruitment of Cristiano Ronaldo distracted three Red Devils players.
Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, and Jadon Sancho are the three players.
Last summer, Manchester United signed Ronaldo from Juventus.
However, Barnes believes that if Ronaldo had not been in the team, Fernandes, Rashford, and Sancho would have had stronger seasons.
In a podcast for William Hill (via the Mirror), Barnes said, “He (Cristiano Ronaldo) detracts from other players."
“(Marcus) Rashford would have had a better season, (Bruno) Fernandes would have had a better season, (Jadon) Sancho would have had a better season." Whoever signed Ronaldo, it’s their fault. ”
