David Trezeguet names best goalkeeper, striker, centre-back in Europe
Juventus legend, David Trezeguet has named three Real Madrid players, the best in their position across Europe.
Trezeguet said Thibaut Courtois is the best goalkeeper in Europe while David Alaba and Karim Benzema are the best centre-backs and strikers, respectively.
Real Madrid boasts an array of talent, with Carlo Ancelotti’s side winning the La Liga title and the UEFA Champions League last season.
“Best goalkeeper? Courtois. Best centre-back? Alaba. Best striker? Benzema,” Trezeguet said in a Q&A (via MadridXtra).
Courtois has been in fine form this season, keeping 15 clean sheets in 38 games across competitions.
Alaba has helped Real Madrid keep 11 clean sheets in 34 matches.
Meanwhile, Benzema has been impressive for Real Madrid this season following his win of Ballon d’Or last year.
