After his team's 3-1 FA Cup third-round victory over Everton on Friday, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag singled out striker Marcus Rashford for praise.
When playing Everton at Old Trafford, Rashford, according to Ten Hag, displayed belief and confidence.
After setting up Antony for the game's first goal in the first half, Rashford delivered the cross that compelled Everton star Conor Coady to score an own goal early in the second half.
After that, the England international converted a penalty in stoppage time to give the Red Devils the victory over Frank Lampard's team.
“From the first minute, I think Marcus was the one who showed confidence and belief,” Ten Hag said at his post-match press conference.
“He was taking on players, and I think for 90 minutes he was a threat to the Everton defense.”
Rashford has now scored 13 goals across all competitions for Manchester United so far this season.
