Ferran Soriano Has Indicated That Bernardo Silva Will Not Be Leaving The Club
Ferran Soriano, the CEO of Manchester City, has said that Bernardo Silva won't leave the team before the transfer window closes.
The international player from Portugal has been the subject of rumors linking him to a transfer to Barcelona, but the Citizens have remained steadfast in their desire to keep Silva at the club.
Silva has also downplayed transfer rumors by saying he is "focused" at Man City. Silva scored and assisted in Sunday's 3-3 draw with Newcastle United.
Silva won't be leaving the club, according to the club's CEO, despite Barcelona's interest in the 28-year-old.
Speaking to Spanish outlet Què T’hi Jugues, Soriano said: “It’s a little late [in the transfer window] to talk about ins and outs. This story has taken many turns, but in the end, it has never moved from its starting point. "
There is a belief that City will not entertain any offers that fall below their £80m asking price for a player that has three years left on his contract.
