Deji Ayeni, the head coach of Akwa United, claims that his team is prepared for battle for their Nigeria Premier Football League Matchday Two matchup against Enyimba on Wednesday in Aba.

In their first match, the Promise Keepers were defeated 2-0 by Akwa United at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

In front of their supporters, the Benin Arsenals completely outperformed the former champions.

The People's Elephant, who defeated Nasarawa United 2-1 away in their opening match, will undoubtedly put Ayeni under pressure if they suffer another loss.

The gaffer declared that they are fully prepared for the task at hand and that they intend to defeat their hosts.

“Victory against Enyimba is not negotiable if Bendel Insurance can come to our backyard and beat us, then we have spoken to ourselves and we’ve made the boys know that we got to be resolute, determined, dedicated and very motivated for us to go back to winning ways,” Ayeni told the club’s media.
”The results of the day one matches show that if you put your house together, you can get three points anywhere, so there is nothing other than victory on Wednesday,” he stated.
