Raheem Sterling, a former star for Manchester City, claimed that he was taken by "massive surprise" when Pep Guardiola started leaving him on the bench.

The majority of last season, Sterling was suddenly dropped to the bench despite consistently putting forth a strong effort whenever he was on the field.

In order to stay in the running for a spot in the England team for the upcoming 2022 World Cup in November, the England international completed a shocking transfer from Manchester City to Chelsea this summer.
