Serie A: Napoli boss Spalletti confirms Osimhen will face Hellas Verona
Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti has confirmed Victor Osimhen will be included in his matchday squad for the Serie A clash against Hellas Verona on Saturday (today).
Osimhen, 24, has missed the Partenopei’s last three games across all competitions as a result of a muscle injury.
The forward returned to full training on Friday, and Spalletti has now revealed the Nigerian is fit for the clash at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
“His (Osimhen's) condition is good. I had a meeting with the doctors, and tomorrow he will be called up against Verona. "Obviously, the objective is to arrive at our best for Tuesday’s match, but tomorrow he’ll be with us on the bench,” Spalletti told a press conference.
The former Lille man has led Napoli’s charge for a first Scudetto in 33 years.
He has scored 21 goals in 23 league appearances for the Naples club this season.
