Steven Gerrard has taken a job as a television pundit for England’s upcoming matches against Italy and Ukraine.

Gerrard has been out of a job since being fired by Aston Villa last October.

In recent months, he has been linked with Leeds United, Trabzonspor, and Poland ever since.

The 42-year-old, who still has managerial ambitions, will work for Channel 4 on the broadcaster’s coverage of England’s Euro 2024 qualifiers.

Gerrard will join Jill Scott and Joe Cole in a punditry role, while Jules Breach will occupy the presenting hot seat.

Steve Bower will commentate, and Kelly Somers will report from pitchside.
