Nigerian defender Chidozie Awaziem has helped Croatian club Hajduk Split win a trophy, the Croatian Cup.



Hajduk Split defeated holders Sibenik 2-0 in the final of the competition.

Awaziem was featured for the entire duration of the game.

It was the eighth time Hajduk Split won the competition.

Dario Melnjak and Marko Livaja scored the goals for the new champions.

Ivan Leko’s side will compete in the UEFA Europa League next season as a result of winning the Croatian Cup.

Awaziem made 35 appearances across all competitions for Hajduk Split this season, with five goals and one assist to his name.
