Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ojo Olorunleke has been named the new captain of Nigeria Premier League champions, Enyimba.

Olorunleke’s appointment follows the departure of former captain, John Noble, who left the Aba giants following the expiration of his contract.

The shot stopper linked up with Enyimba from local rivals, Abia Warriors in September 2021.

The 27-year-old fought off stiff competition from Noble and Djeri Bassa to become the club’s number one position.

Centre-back, Somiari Alalibo was named vice-captain.

Enyimba will begin their 2023/24 campaign with a CAF Champions League preliminary fixture against Al Ahli Benghazi on August 18.
