Abubakar Mohammed, a devoted supporter of Gombe United, has donated 40 sets of training jerseys to the team.

Mohammed said that he made the gesture as a way to show the club that he supports its expansion.

The jerseys were given out the night before the team's Nigeria Premier Football League season opener.

On Friday, the Savannah Scorpions will leave for Ibadan in preparation for their opening-day match against Kwara United.

The event is scheduled to take place at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex in Adamasingba, Ibadan.

There will be nine additional games played at various centers.
