Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has admitted the club could fire him before the season ends.
Conte was reacting to their exit from the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Spurs were eliminated by AC Milan on a 1-0 aggregate, with the second leg ending 0-0 in North London.
Conte’s men managed just two shots on target in a poor display.
The result means Tottenham’s wait for a trophy extends to 15 years and raises questions over Conte’s position at the club.
The Italian’s current deal expires this summer, but Spurs have the option to extend that agreement by another year.
“Let’s see how the season ends." Maybe they can send me away even earlier.
“Perhaps the expectations were higher and may have been disappointed. "What matters for a coach is trying to work and raise the bar,” Conte told Amazon Prime.
