Transfer: Boehly has lost his mind – Carragher slams Chelsea owner over Caicedo deal
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher tried to rile up Chelsea fans on Friday after the Reds appeared to lose the battle to sign Moises Caicedo.
Both clubs have been involved in a transfer tussle for Caicedo this week.
Over the last 24 hours, Liverpool saw a £110 million offer for Caicedo accepted by Brighton.
However, it has emerged that the Ecuadorian is intent on ‘keeping his word’ and signing for Chelsea.
Reacting to this development, Carragher tweeted: “£1110M is a ridiculous amount of money to pay for a 21-year-old. Boehly has lost his mind yet again.”
If Liverpool misses out on Caicedo, they are likely to return for Southampton’s Romeo Lavia.
