Transfer: Premier League newcomers, Luton Town interested in Akpom
Premier League new boys Luton Town are interested in signing Chuba Akpom from Middlesbrough.
According to Football League World, Luton Town will soon establish contact with Middlesbrough with the sole aim of signing the forward.
Akpom, who has a year remaining on his contract with Boro, is expected to leave the club following their failure to secure promotion to the Premier League.
The 27-year-old scored 29 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions for Michael Carrick’s side last season.
The Nigerian was the top scorer in the Sky Bet Championship and was also named Player of the Season.
Crystal Palace and Everton are also reportedly interested in Akpom.
