Transfer: Xavi set to sign 31-year-old ex-Chelsea star for Barcelona
Barcelona boss Xavi wants to sign former Chelsea and Southampton midfielder Oriol Romeu this summer.
Romeu, 31, joined Girona from Southampton last summer but is now set to join Barcelona.
The former Chelsea star began his career with Barcelona before moving to Stamford Bridge in 2011.
He went on to win the FA Cup and the Champions League title in two seasons with Chelsea.
He was then sold to Southampton in 2011, where he played for seven seasons.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, his medicals with Barcelona are done.
What remains for his move to be completed is to get the contracts signed, with the deal expected to be completed this week.
